We are loving the Fall weather around here....

We went to Thanksgiving Point with some friends and the boys loved riding the horses.

"H Pile" turned 2!!

Tydon's birthday is coming up this month too. We went to San Diego for Gord's nephew's wedding so we made it a long weekend and went to Sea World to celebrate the boys' birthdays.

The boys were exhausted after the fun day :)

The next day we went to the beach in La Jolla...

It was chilly, but the boys still LOVED it.

I look forward to date nights with my man! We went on a Provo River cruise and they had over 100 carved, lit pumpkins. It was an experience...

Henson's eye...

We have NEVER seen or experienced

anything like this before!

A few weeks ago I picked the boys up from my sister-in-law's

house. They stayed with her while I was in Palm Springs.

Trin (Gord's sister) said that Henson had been stung by a bee (or so she thought)

a couple days earlier. He was outside and grabbed his eye and yelled "owie!" He never cried though, but she said it looked like he had been stung.

He didn't have an allergic reaction or anything and there was a tiny scab left over, but was healing fine.

That was on Tuesday...

Wednesday afternoon his eye started to get kind of blood shot and red

and then we woke up to this Thursday morning

Day 1

The Dr thought he had developed Staph infection

from the bee sting and gave us some eye drops

and put him on Augmenten

(He also had a fever of 103.7)

Day 2

Day 3

(okay... maybe it is suppose to get worse before it gets better)

Day 4

(Starting to get worried at this point)

That night we stayed with my grandma at Little America

downtown SLC.

Poor Henson didn't get to go to the pool with us...

He stayed up in the room with "Great" and took a bath while we played.

Dad gave Tydon a few lessons...

Day 5

Monday morning we woke up and it was even worse...

So we headed over to Primary Children's ER.

He was admitted...

They did a culture...

an eye specialist was called...

he dilated his eyes...

we waited...

and waited...

finally fell asleep...

after the exam we were told it was herpes instead of staph infection.

Basically a HUGE cold sore on the poor boy's eye.

Luckily nothing was on the eyeball itself so we were relieved.

We were sent home with 3 different prescriptions (oral, topical and inside the eye)

Day 6

(Really spreading now- mouth, other eye, chin...)

Each day it started to heal...

And finally... 2 weeks later...

HEALING!!

This was definitely scary! I'm so grateful we got the right medication

and his eye is healing.

The eye specialist double checked this week and his eye looks clear so there shouldn't be any major damage. Just hoping there isn't any scarring either.

Grateful for modern medicine and the right medication.

Back to ID, the new business and more travel...

My parents went to Vegas for the weekend

so I took the boys and we went and stayed the weekend with

Brody...

This was all Tydon could think about while we were there :)

Gordon recently started his own business...

Wood Works Contracting

(We are in the process of designing his logo)

He is working on getting his general contractors license,

so he is going to be doing remodels, finish work and handyman stuff.

He is sooo good at what he does and he is really enjoying it.

He is remodeling a home in SLC right now.

for a personal development training... what an AMAZING experience!

A Weekend with Great...

I'm so grateful for my relationship with my grandma.

She is someone I talk to almost everyday, if not, every other day.

In March she called me and needed a vacation so we booked a weekend getaway!

We LOVE having Allegiant Air in Idaho Falls :)

We flew out Friday afternoon into Long Beach, CA

Took the taxi to our ship...

{I think we were literally one of the last ones to board the ship}

Getting there later was awesome... we walked right on without any lines!

Got settled and then it was time to eat...

Cruise ships are literally a floating buffet, right?!

He told us all about the behind the scenes of an actor's life.

Wow!! Amazing stories were told and our eyes were opened.

{Did you know that only 1% of actors/actresses make a living off of acting alone, all others have a side career that REALLY pays the bills}

Easter was fun this year...

The boys loved coloring eggs and got pretty excited when

they woke up to find that the Easter bunny had come and hid their eggs and left them some gifts.

They are best buddies :)

Last week Tydon was helping put a folding chair away and he

I feel like I'm constantly trying to catch up these days...

We have been busy and loving it!

Gordon had a neat experience a couple weeks ago...

He reconnected with a family that he taught on his mission {Ft Lauderdale, FL}

Their oldest son was leaving on a mission so we stopped and visited with them before he was set apart.

It is awesome to see the work that he did 10 years ago continue to bless the lives of people today.

We dropped the boys off in ID for about a week and Gordon and I went to Vegas!!

I've just been thinking lately...

I've always been someone looking for opportunity...

I started young with Girl Scout Cookies...

Loved having garage sales...

I was even a "traveling pedicurist" in HS...

That led me to Cosmetology School-

I LOVED owning my nail salon in Poky...

I sold health and nutrition products around that same time too...

{then we moved to UT}

So I tried being just a mom...

But... it didn't keep me busy enough ;)

So... then I started my craft business last year...

I still have that going, but instead of the original plan of craft nights, I just make things and sell them

in stores on consignment. {much less stress}

I've been addicted to the gym for a while too so I got certified to teach aerobics...

{what a blast!!} *It helps to get paid to work out too*

I'm so grateful for opportunities!!

Last weekend I had the opportunity to spend a couple days

with some like-minded entrepreneurs in Colorado.

We met Gerald Willhite... great guy!

He played for the Denver Broncos

{the guy that always did the back flip after he scored a touchdown}

My dad was jealous

I'm so grateful for awesome friends

who want to make a difference :)

The highlight of the weekend...

We learned how to take $69 cruises

AND

Tydon has been asking me for a while now...

"Mom, can 4 year olds go to Mexico?"

**He even asked for a Dolphin pillow pet for

Christmas because he wants to swim with the dolphins**

I think he's been praying to go...

Gordon and I just found out we might be going back

Life has been pretty crazy lately...

Gordon took the GMAT on FEB 3rd.

I don't think I've ever seen him sooo nervous about something!

We are relieved that it is over and the boys and I are grateful to have him back :)

Last Friday we went to the Men's/Women's expo in Sandy.

It was fun to walk around with the boys and look at things.

On Saturday we got up and drove to St George for the weekend...

A Weekend in Vegas...

I've only been to Vegas one other time and it was mostly for business so I didn't make time to see much. So I decided to make time this time.

This wasn't really on the list of places to see, but it was worth the stop.

We were with a guy that got us in for free so I wasn't going to pass it up.

The World's 2nd Largest Gun Show!!

{Gord was real jealous he wasn't there}

These guns were for sale... only $379,600 for the set of four.

{I was scared to even take a picture}

This one was just my size :)

I met the guy that makes these and he is going to take Gordon and I shooting sometime.

They can hit a bullseye from 3 miles!! {wow}

Of course meeting up with friends is always the best!!

On the way back to our room one night/morning we ran into this guy doing a random magic show

of course he played a few card tricks... either we were really tired or he was the BEST I've seen.

Then he hypnotized the guy on the left and played a few tricks on them...

We were all LOVING it! I couldn't believe how good he was.

So I had to get a picture with him.

I have to confess... I played Black Jack for the first time {not with my $$}

and I lost about 12 hands in about 5 minutes! $600 gone just like that... needless to say, I won't be doing that again. I couldn't believe how fast it went!! That is NOT my idea of fun.

If you go anytime soon you have to visit the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmepolitan.

There are strands of crystals that drape over 3 levels. It was beautiful!!

My favorite place to eat... was Jaleo {in the top of the Cosmepolitan}

And I discovered that it isn't a place to forget your ID.

I got carded 3 times just for water!!

It was a fun weekend and I'm looking forward to going back in April.

How I'm Starting the New Year...

To be honest I don't remember the goals that I set for myself last year.

I know I had some, but it seems like my goals are ever changing... which often times leads to an unorganized mess of "where do I even start?!"

Well... this year is going to be different.

I've started a 30 day Challenge and you might like to too.

I'm only on day 2 and I already can tell that this year is going to be different.

A Season of change...

I'll be the first to admit that I've been a terrible blogger lately...

I just haven't been in the mood for a few months.

I've just had other priorities I guess. Do you ever get that way?!

Well... December has been a weird month.

Gordon went to work December 3rd and when I called him at 10am to see what time he thought he'd be off for the day he said, "I'll be home in an hour, I just got laid off."

{Merry Christmas}

They just said it was a trickle effect from the big lay off the company did in May.

So... now what?!

I have to be honest. Gordon didn't love his job. It was a good "job" that paid the bills, but definately not a career for him. He worked long hours {sometimes between 60-80 a week} and was paid salary for 40. He left before the boys got up and got home an hour or two before they went to bed or sometimes didn't see them at all. I've actually seen some positive changes in Gordon since the lay off and we are optimistic about the future. The boys LOVE having their dad home and it has been so nice not having to worry about rushing back to Utah so he can go to work on Monday. We are looking at this as an opportunity for something better. He is even considering going back to school. He has always wanted to get his Master's Degree, but never could have done it working where he was.

So for now he is going to continue to apply for jobs and start studying for the GMAT.

I've noticed a change in myself through this time in our lives... it was nice having that security of a weekly pay check. I'm a planner and like to have something to look forward to. I have faith and I know that there is a plan for us, but the unknown for me has been hard. I'm not one to fake it and just put on a happy face.

Some of my thoughts lately-

I've enjoyed being able to attend the temple weekly... great comfort is found in the house of the Lord.

Waking up next to Gordon each morning is the best!

Seeing Gordon less stressed and happier... worth it!

How are we going to pay all the bills when the money runs out?

Should I look for a job?

I'm so happy my boys are too young to understand.

I've loved going to the gym together :)

I'm grateful for good friends and their support.

We aren't the only ones facing this challenge right now.

Should we move back to ID?

What am I suppose to learn from this?

I'm grateful that Gordon is positive and optimisic. I'm so proud of him and the amazing father and husband that he is. I'm grateful we have each other to lean on and make decisions with. Yes, this is a pretty big deal, but no it's not something we can't handle. I know that our Father in heaven is watching over us and that he has a plan for us.

So... it's a Season of change and we are looking forward to a New Year and a new adventure.

We are in ID with family until... well we really don't know when. I guess until we feel like going back to UT :)

I'll be the first to admit that I've been horrible at updating lately...

I still can't believe November is more than half way over.

Thanksgiving is next week... really?!

So here is a quick recap of our Oct and the beginning of Nov

Little "H" turned 1 yr -

We love this little guy to pieces and are so grateful for his sweet spirit.

He was battling ear infections all of Oct so he still hasn't had his own Bday cake...

We finished the month off with a fun weekend ALL about Tydon!

It started Friday when he woke up to see that Grandpa and Brody had come to visit :)

Then later that night we went to a Halloween Party

My aunt and her kids showed up later that night to celebrate the weekend with us.

Saturday morning Tydon chose his favorite breakfast... Pumpkin Pancakes with buttermilk syrup and Powdered Sugar :)

Then we made a quick visit to see G&G Eaton in Riverton.

On to Yogurtland... can't tell you how excited I am that this is in town :)

The weather was decent for Halloween this year

Then we made our way to Gardner Village to find the Witches

Next stop was Wheeler Farm...

I had to laugh because Gordon got more excited to take a picture of this thing than he did his own kids while we were there...

Just as we were leaving it started to rain... perfect time to hit up CHUCK E CHEESE

November has been pretty busy so far...

I just took the boys to ID for a week and it was lots of fun.

The boys always look forward to visiting Great at the mall.

One night I got to meet up with several of my HS friends :)

It was a blast catching up!

I left the boys with my sis-in-law for the weekend and went to Phoenix for the weekend...

forgot my camera {so sad} but the 84 degree weather was fabulous... poolside... Yogurtland... yummy food... catching up with friends and some more travel planning... such a fun weekend!

Gordon was super excited to have us home :) We missed him lots!

This weekend we get to have our cousins over for a couple nights while their mom and dad go to a wedding in Nauvoo. Tydon and Henson are lovin it!

We are looking forward to hitting the road again next week to visit our family in ID!

Guess it's time to start thinking about Christmas.... crazy!!

Last week was Tydon's first Primary Program :)

He knew all of the songs and waved proudly from the stand...

{Brought tears to my eyes...}

Conference weekend was the perfect weekend...

We love having Gord home. This was something silly him and Tydon came up with :)

The best part... Gordon still has a hickey on his forehead!!

San Diego... LA

Can I first just say that I LOVE how cheap Allegiant Air is :)

I was able to go to California last weekend for $100 ROUND TRIP!!

Last Thursday I dropped my boys off to Gordon's sister in ID and flew to LA.

I wasn't about to get a rental car and try to drive by myself so I took the train to San Diego...

It was awesome! I've never ridden a train before and I LOVED it.

Besides the huge reclining seats... the view was my favorite!

I got into San Diego around 7:30pm and went to dinner with some friends.

We ate at Ruth's Chris Steak House... AMAZING!!

That night I got to stay with one of my Best Friends!

The next morning we went to the Swap Meet and then had a yummy lunch.

So good to see Kate!!

Her smiles made my day...

From there I was back on the road to LA

I had some meetings that night and then I went to dinner with some friends at a place called Big Wang's

One of the guys we were with and his cute daughter that worked there

After another great dinner I stayed the night with one of my friends from high school

Emily is a photographer in LA. It was fun to see her again and meet her boyfriend Sergio.

They are currently putting a Trailer together for a movie Emily is acting in and producing!!

So fun to see friends from High School doing great things :)

Saturday morning I got up early and headed to some meetings in LA.

Gord and his nephew Kaden flew in that morning and met me.

Yvette and her sweet mom. We love meeting new people :)

Saturday night we stayed with my cousin who also lives close to LA.

Her little girls are so cute! They were excited to have guests :)

Such a fun, fast paced weekend...

It was fun to see old friends and meet new ones.

Can't wait to go back!!

The Elephant Parade...

I think it has become tradition!

When the Circus comes to town they do an elephant parade through the Gateway Mall

downtown Salt Lake.

We went with our friends from West Jordan again this year.

Before we left we celebrated this little guy's birthday

He took his friends and family on a little tractor ride...

Such a cute boy! Happy Birthday VAN :)

On the way to Idaho we saw this...

Gord and I couldn't stop laughing.

{It took us about 20 min of riding the poor biker to finally get a good picture, but it was worth it}

The night before we left we got a phone call from my cousin telling us that Ashtyn had fallen off her horse and BROKEN HER FEMUR!!

She's real tough though and hasn't cried yet :)

I can't believe my brother is a Senior... makes me feel old

Football season is in full swing and he's playin great!

From 9 to 10 months...

This cute face has officially turned into a little boy...

He's not our little baby anymore :(

In just 1 month he has gone from 2 teeth on the bottom to this...

He hasn't had any problems teething... luckily!

Still such a happy boy! He only gets whiny when it's time to eat or sleep.

He has his own sign language...

Happy or Excited!

His legs and his hands go crazy when he gets excited

Tired...

And he loves to share... it's a fun game really. He gives it to you and then

wants it back, then gives it to you again...

He loves to crawl around

and pull himself up on anything and everything.

He loves to come stand by me when I'm in the bathroom getting ready or in the kitchen cooking.

He crawls over and pulls himself up and just stands there by me, must make him feel like a big boy.

Our favorite is his "cheesball" grin. He wrinkles his nose.

He also loves to crawl over and through things. Right before this he had crawled over the bottom bar on the stool and got high centered, but I couldn't get to my camera fast enough.

Who taught Tydon to flash signs when I take pictures of him?! He is ALL boy!

These two are so cute together. Glad they get along so well.

Gordon is the new Choir Director in our ward and they

sang on Sunday. He's been pretty nervous about the new calling, but they sounded awesome!

{I'm so proud of him}

Tydon is LOVING being in Primary.

His teachers always compliment how he is such a good boy.

He just got done with Summer Pre-School and

loved every minute of it! It is so fun to watch him learn and grow.

The other night we went to a pool party in Bountiful.

Tydon was excited to swim and couldn't get enough of the diving board.

"Little Punky" is getting more and more mobile all the time.

He is such a good baby and such a happy boy.

I sure do LOVE these boys!

Summer Fun!!

Is it really August already?! I can't believe July has already come and gone...

We've had lots of fun though!

Last weekend we met up with my family and some of my mom's family for a weekend at Lagoon!!

It was my birthday on Friday and all I wanted was to spend time with Gord {these 80+ hr work weeks are killer} The boys and I were so excited to see him for more than just a couple hours :)

We rode rides on Friday...

My dad's nephew and his family came too...

After a few hours we went back to my aunt's trailer at the KOA and BBQ'd. My cousin's birthday was the same weekend so we celebrated together

Then we headed back to the rides for some more...

By the end we couldn't wait to get to our hotel room

Saturday morning we {slept in} got up and headed back to Lagoon for some more fun! We hit up Lagoon A Beach first

{We had to wake Tydon up at 10:40am to get ready for church on Sunday... He was wore out from all the fun, but keeps asking to go back. Maybe we'll have to consider Season Tickets next year...}

Great place for a Family Reunion!

We spent last weekend with most of Gordon's family...

It was a BLAST!!

We only wish it could have lasted longer

Saturday morning the guys got up early to go fishing while the girls tried to sleep in...

They got back just in time for breakfast {pretty convenient}

Swimming Lessons inspired TUTORIAL

Tydon had swimming lessons last month and there were some kids that had cute Towel Bags...

My friend and I thought they were so convenient so we decided to make some for our kids.

Tydon's "girlfriend" had a birthday yesterday and he wanted to make one for her so he picked out the colors and this is what we came up with...

TUTORIAL...

SUPPLIES:

Bath Towel

Hand Towel

Coordinating Thread

Start by laying the hand towel out and decide the depth of your bag. Cut the bottom off {mine was about 11"} Then cut the bottom piece in half, creating two pieces {about 5 1/2 "}

Now you have the pieces for one side of your bag and the 2 straps...

Fold the strap pieces in half and zig zag stitch the two edges together

Then turn them inside out

If you'd like to have an initial on the front of your bag

Cut the letter out

{I chose a scrap piece from another towel bag, but any fabric would do}

Pin it to the FRONT of your hand towel

and Sew it on

{I zig zag stitched around the outside of the letter}

**I used aqua thread in my needle and yellow in my bobbin**

Now it's time to attach your straps...

Lay the Hand Towel in the upper Right corner of the Bath Towel

Pin one strap {to the inside/wrong side} to the Hand Towel

Pin the other strap {making sure they line up}to the back side

{so it ends up on the inside when it turns into a bag}of the Bath Towel

Sew the straps on

Now you'll lay the Hand Towel in the upper Right corner of the Bath Towel {again}

Pin the Hand Towel to the Bath towel

**Create a reinforcement at the bottom of the Hand Towel by folding the fabric over and pinning it**

Start in the upper Right corner and zig zag stitch around the whole outside of the Hand Towel.

YOU'RE DONE!!

Fold the towel into itself and you've created a cute Towel Bag :)

GREAT JOB!!

We are so happy to have this missionary home!

We are so proud of Kaden.

He is such an amazing kid and we are so grateful for his example.

I stayed an extra day with the boys to play...

Tomlinson's got a new boat to try out and we were excited to tag along :)

Kaden was a little rusty after two years... but still tore it up!

Braxton impressed us as usual...

Tydon even jumped in the water... but didn't stay in for too long... still a little bit chilly.

I look forward to the day that Tydon will have the opportunity to serve a mission.

He is such a good example to Gordon and I already.

Independence Day

My aunt and her kids came down from ID to go to Lagoon.

Tydon was excited to play video games with Justin.

Monday morning we headed to the parade...

It was HOT!! Tydon kept saying his head was hot so Gord helped him out :)

Then we headed to the pool to cool off!

Tydon can't wait until he's big enough to surf with the big boys ;)

We had so much fun!

It was nice to spend the day as a family.

I actually had 2 in one week!!

I met up with some friends in West Jordan to see Eclipse...

AMAZING... {we LOVED it!}

Then a couple days later I went to a party with some of my girlfriends in Lehi.

The decor and treats were FABULOUS!

It was so much fun to have a break and spend time with friends.

Keeping myself busy...

Gordon has been working late A LOT lately... so what is a girl to do... CRAFT!!

I've started a little business with Gord's niece Lindsey {so excited!!}

We will be launching our blog in the next couple weeks with a fun GIVEAWAY!!

In the meantime I have LOTS to do...

This isn't really part of the business, but it was a fun little distraction for today.

Super easy...

Grab a onesie {this one is 3-6 months}

Heat n Bond paper

Material for the tie

then draw a little tie template

Trace the pieces onto the Heat n Bond paper {I always hold my pieces up to a window}

Then cut around the outside so you don't waste too much material.

Lay your template on the WRONG side of the fabric and iron

Cut out your pieces on the lines you've drawn

Peel off the backing of the Heat n Bond and iron the pieces onto the onesie

{make sure you tuck the tail up under the top piece before ironing}

Then... if you are OCD like me... sew around the outside just to make sure it doesn't go anywhere

{Start in the upper Left hand corner of each piece, then you don't have to stop and start more than twice}

All done!

8 Months

This sweet boy is growing up... he is no longer a baby, but starting to become a little boy...

He got his 3rd hair cut this month... so now there are 3 of us with Mohawks ;)

These two boys love each other so much! They play so well together and Tydon is such a good big bro

Weighing in at 19lbs these days... starting to thin out the more he moves around

We can't keep him still for very long... army crawlin and pretty good at the stink bug too

He doesn't like the tile on his knees so he tries to crawl on his toes :)

Bath time is always a treat... this boy LOVES to splash!!

Such a good eater!

Even if it causes a shiver {peas} he doesn't spit anything out.

Always uses his index finger to pick things up...

Such a joy this sweet guy is!

90 Years Young

I've been a blog slacker lately, I'll be the first to admit.

So here's a quick update of what's been going on...

Gord turned 30!!!

Happy Birthday to my BEST FRIEND!!

I got to spend Mother's Day with some of my dad's family

{That's his oldest sister Kathy in the middle}

So fun to see these girls!

After we named Henson my grandma told me it was a family name.

Kathy pulled out the book to show us.

My mom and grandma came to town for a couple days and stayed at a hotel in Salt Lake so we met them for swimming, shopping and yummy food!

While they were here, Tydon had a gymnastics recital

He was so excited about his balloon he slept with hit ;)

Our landlord invited us over for a Brazilian dinner.

It was fun learning how to make something new and the girls were so much fun!

I got to meet up with my friends from West Jordan for a baby shower for one of our friends!

Love you girls...

Two of my other friends had babies too so they sent me pictures of their diaper bags so I could make some matching wipe cases

Memorial Weekend was much needed... We spent time with our families in ID

We went on a little razor ride with Gord's fam

Henson was such a good boy.

It rained {of course} but we found a spot where we could make a fire and be protected by the trees.

Tydon can't get enough of the motorcycles.

My dad was happy to take him for a ride when we got there

Before we headed home we HAD to stop and see some friends.

So fun to meet baby London and catch up!

Gordon has been on a pretty big project at work. They built 2 overpasses on the side of the freeway and then moved them into place... crazy I know. So I let Tydon stay up late and we went over and watched.

This is the 4th part they moved into place. Pretty amazing!

Another Family Tree

I've wanted to make a Family Tree for my dad's parents for a while.

My grandma has a passion for genealogy and she has put in a lot of time updating our family line.
I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in their home while I was growing up and I'm so grateful I did. My grandma would let my cousins and I earn $$ cleaning her house so we could ride the bikes to King's to buy fake fingernails... then she would get mad at us for wasting our money ;)
There were many hours spent on the horses with Grandpa and he's the one that taught me how to drive. He started all of the grand kids around 9 yrs old.
I'm so grateful for my grandparents and the great people that they are.
My dad is the baby of nine so he's got a pretty big family.

7 month update...

I can't believe our little man is already 7 months, almost 8 now. I felt like he was still a baby saying he was 6 months, but 7 months really isn't "baby" anymore.

Mother's Day Project...

We stayed in UT this year for Mother's Day.

It was a beautiful day and I got spoiled by these boys...
I'm so grateful to be a Mother and am especially grateful for the Mother's in my life.
I look up to my own mother and I'm grateful for the woman that she is.

My mom is driving down today with my grandma {yahoo!}
{So I had an extra week to get my gift together}

My mom's hobby is Barrel Racing and she loves anything to do with horses.
So when I saw this idea I knew it would be perfect :)

SUPER SATURDAY

SIMPLIFIED....

I was the Enrichment Leader in our last ward and it was such a fun calling. I worked with some amazing women who were talented, motivated and super fun!!

It seems like most wards and stakes are no longer doing Super Saturdays, but as women we still have a NEED to create... so as a committee we came up with an idea for an activity to allow us the opportunity to both SERVE and CREATE in one activity.

The 2 months prior to the activity we gathered donations from the ward to help fill Humanitarian Kits to be donated to the church. We had enough supplies to complete 25 Hygiene Kits and 25 School kits.

So as the sisters arrived at the activity, they helped put kits together...We also put together personal heaters
Then we talked about emergency plans...

Then it was time to CREATE...
Our main craft was Family Home Evening magnet boards.
This is where our idea came from.

We also made interchangeable watch bands...
Gordon's niece helped me and we came up with a few different options.

Watch Faces were sold separately...

We sold about 200 kits!!

A couple of the girls in the committee are experienced with Photoshop and one of them made a template for Family Proclomations.
So we had a table set-up with computers for people to create their own proclamation.
{FREE}

We had such a great turnout!!
I am FOREVER grateful to all of the sisters on the committee and everyone that helped to make this activity a success.

The BUMP and NO sugar bugs...

Last week I came home to this...

Tydon had tripped and fell and hit the door jam...

It immediately swelled up...

The next day, the swelling had gone down and
over the next couple days the "sweet" bruise showed up

He still has a small scrape, but the bruise is finally almost gone

{So glad he didn't end up with stitches}

Today we went in for Tydon's FIRST official DENTIST appointment.
He was sooo good!
We prepped him most of the week by talking about what they would do.
He held so still for x-rays
Didn't mind the scrubbing...
flossing... no big deal ;)
Dentist said everything looks great!

NO SUGAR BUGS ;)
Best part... Buzz Light Year toothbrush!

I'll be the first to admit that I've been a blog slacker lately...

It's been kinda crazy around here!
Here are a few highlights...

St Patrick's Day party with our friends from West Jordan
I went to watch some of the girls I use to coach at their cheer comp in SLC
{I got emotional just being there... hearing the music, seeing the teams perform, I miss it!!}

We visited Jump On It for the first time with some friends and Tydon LOVED it!!

Gordon was commuting back to West Valley so we were thinking we would probably move back up that way... instead he got put on the Pioneer Crossing project here in Lehi so we get to stay!
So... we've moved again!
You'll find us just around back... we are in the basement.
We love the area and the neighbors and are excited to make some new friends ;)

Sold a few things...

I've decided we don't have to worry about Spring Cleaning because we move so much!
We moved in the Friday before Easter...

Tydon was SUPER excited this year
All he wants to do is ride his {motorcycle} bike.
What's Easter without new church clothes...
I was excited to get a new camera...
My other one was pretty wore out :)
General Conference was great, as usual.
I love being reminded of the SIMPLE things and what is truly important {FAMILY}
I've loved teaching aerobics!!
I completed a Hip Hop Certification a couple weeks ago.
Our instructor was amazing :) So much Fun!

Hopefully I can get back on track now that we are mostly settled.

I can't believe this sweet boy has already hit 6 months.

I thought Tydon was the best baby... but Henson is just as good.

Every time I pick the boys up from the gym daycare the ladies always comment on how he is the best baby ;)

We went for his 6 month check-up this week...
Weight: 16lbs ~ 20% vs Tydon 18lbs ~ 10%
Length: 25.75 in ~ 20% vs Tydon 27.5 in ~ 25%
Head: 17.25 in ~ 47% vs Tydon 18 in ~ 75%

Dr said he looks good and to feed him more if he'll eat it ;)

"H" is 5 months... almost 6 now!

I can't keep up.

*Rolling over

*Still learning to eat rice cereal

*Pretty giggly these days

*LOVES his big brother

*Sleeping through the night

*Loves to be the center of attention

*Not a fan of his binky anymore...

*Puts EVERYTHING in his mouth

*Drool monkey

*Keeping his hair on top :)

*Staying pretty chubby

*Started making "D" sounds

We'll find out in a couple weeks where he's at on the charts.

Found his tongue ;)

South Dakota...

Gordon's parents were Called to Serve in Rapid City, South Dakota.

{They will be helping set-up Seminary and Institute programs in the area}

They leave March 22nd... So soon!

We are so excited for them and grateful for their willingness to serve.

Henson hit 4 months {the beginning of February}

He is all smiles and full of fun lately.

Can't get enough of this sweet guy

*FULL of smiles... all the time

*Finally giggling, but still takes some coaxing

*Still a great sleeper, but hitting another growth spurt

*Tried rice cereal... still learning how to swallow the crazy stuff

*LOVES his Bumbo seat {such a big boy}

*Had another haircut {from dad this time}

*Everything goes in his mouth right now, "drooly kid"

*Still likes to snuggle with Mom

*LOVES his big brother

*Already spoiled {by his big brother}

4 Month Check-Up {vs Tydon}

*Weight: 14.9 lbs - 45% {15.9 lbs - 70%}

*Height: 24.75 inch - 38% {26.75 inch - 75%}

*Head: 16.75 inch - 53% {17.3 inch - 75 %}

And all this time I thought Henson was bigger than Tydon... {Tydon was 8 days late though}

So grateful for this sweet face and the joy and happiness he brings into our home.

We feel truly blessed!

Gordon's parents sent in their Mission Papers in 3 weeks ago...

I'm so excited for them and look forward to hearing where they will have the opportunity to serve.

Last week I received a text from Gord's niece that her grandpa had passed away.

He was diagnosed with Leukemia the end of last year, so they knew it wouldn't be long before he would be moving on...

RaNae's husband {Craig} has 10 brothers and sisters, which means there are several nieces and nephews too...

These are such great gifts, especially if you come from a LARGE family like Craig.

It was a fun and exciting weekend with family...

Gord had to stay home for work so I ventured out on my own with the boys and headed to ID.
Friday was spent finishing up last minute wedding details and a little pampering for the bride.

The wedding was Saturday for this beautiful couple...

What I crave...

I can't get enough of this stuff when I'm prgnant!!

{No I'm not pregnant, but I still love it}
Olive Garden Salad Dressing
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/3 c. water
1/3 c oil
1/4 c. corn syrup
2 1/2 Tbls. grated Romano Cheese (you can also just use the Italian Blend or parmesan cheese)
2 Tbls. dry pectin
2 Tbls. beaten egg. (I DON'T put this in)
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. minced garlic (can use the minced/crushed garlic in a jar)
1/4 tsp. dried parsley flakes
pinch dry oregano
pinch crushed red pepper flakes

Combine all ingredients, blend on low-med in blender for 30 sec. Chill 1 hour. Serve as salad or use as a marinade.

Arizona was beautiful...

The weather was perfect {70 degress}
They had TONS of rain the week before so we lucked out and got to enjoy the pretty flowers and bright green grass :)
We left Thursday morning and went and picked Gord up from work.
Tydon was SOOO excited to ride the airplane we couldn't get to the airport fast enough ;)
{he was so excited to take his new backpack}
Once we were there... Tydon was fascinated by everything.
{Gord got tired of him getting distracted so he ended up on his shoulders}
Tydon sat by the window on the plane and loved every minute of it. He watched everything {even after we took off} for about a half hour! Then he sat back and colored the rest of the time.
We took Tydon on the plane when he was about the same age as Henson... First thing he did was have a blowout! {I was a little paranoid this was going to happen again} Instead... he was a Champ! He ate and did his "duty" right before we got on the plane and then slept the whole way there.
When we landed in AZ, there was a greeter that gave Tydon an airplane to play with {Thank you}
It was his favorite toy the rest of the trip...
After we ate dinner {yummy prime rib}, the Nelson's {one of Gord's mission buddies} came and got us and took us out for dessert. I didn't know I was going to find a new addiction on this trip!!
Then we went back to our hotel to chat. Henson and Hank are a month apart {Hank is older}.
These two were fun to compare. Hank is a little "ham" loved him!
Friday was full of meetings for the guys, but the women got to play ;)
I took Tydon swimming in the afternoon... He LOVED it! I wish we could swim in February every year ;)
Then it was back to the room for a nap ;)

Gord's company provided child care while we were there so Tydon and Henson went to play with the kids... and Gord and I went to "Vegas"
Friday night was a Vegas theme... So after dinner they gave us some gamblin "money" and let us hit up the Casino and party ;) So fun!!
I had never done this before ;) Sooo fun!

Definately a night to remember... so much fun!
After a soak in the hot tub we were off to bed...

Saturday included more meetings for the guys and a little fun for the ladies ;)
Since there were a couple of us "nursing moms" we went late to the spouse event.
Made it just in time for lunch and the gift {Tiffany & Co. Bracelets}
Then of course I had to introduce my friends to my new addiciton!!

Saturday night was formal night... with a Mardi Gras theme.
So we got all dressed up and had another fun night with our friends...

Tydon had lots of fun with the kids and came home with lots of souveniers.
Sunday we ate a yummy breakfast and packed up to fly home...
My aunt picked us up and took us to lunch {with a quick detour on the way to the airport}
Pretty sure I got my fix for a minute... 4 visits in 4 days... not too bad!

The plane ride back was just as peaceful as the one there...
Traditional flight game...
And we made it!
